Mike Baker Rejoins Ahead of 25/26 Season!

We welcome the experienced defender back to Badgers Hill for another stint!
The Club is delighted to have agreed to re-sign Mike Baker.
The 31-year-old defender comes back into Danny Greaves' squad having enjoyed a year-long stint with Frome between January 2022 and February 2023. Since then, the left-footed centre-back has played for Yate Town, Hungerford Town and Tiverton Town in the Southern League's Premier Division South.
Having joined from Larkhall Athletic three years ago, 'Bakes' featured on 36 occasions for the Robins and scored three goals. One of those strikes included the winner away at Willand late in the 21-22 season and, upon arrival, the centre-back was a stalwart at the back as Frome's finished second in the table.
On reuniting with the defender, manager Danny Greaves said: "I am ecstatic to be able to bring Bakes back to the club. Following the departure of Pierce, this is the perfect replacement.
"Bakes comes with all the experience you could ask for at this level and he is hungry to make up for lost time following his earlier spell which ended prematurely after his departure halfway through the 22-23 season, therefore missing out on the promotion the following season with us, which he was desperate for.
"He was outstanding when Tiverton came to us last season and was key to them winning that game. His aerial dominance, leadership and experience will be key to us and him achieving our joint goals next season."
On his return to BA11, the centre-back said: "I’m back and looking forward to playing for this amazing club once more. Let’s get back to where we belong! UTFR!"
